Si tratta di fedelissime riedizioni di tappeti a velluto prodotti, inizialmente esclusivamente per la casa reale di Francia, nelle fabbriche di Savonnerie tra il 17° ed il 19° secolo con la collaborazione di architetti ed artisti che svilupparono le produzioni con disegni sempre più importanti e colori sempre più ricercati, con tecniche di annodatura a mano. Da qualche anno questi splendidi tappeti  vengono apprezzati e inseriti con cura negli arredamenti attuali sia classici che contemporanei.

Tisca Savonnerie rugs are very accurate reproductions of absolutely original french designs produced from the 17th through 19th century in the factories of Savonnerie, which gave the name to these cut-pile and hand-knotted rugs.  Originally they were produced for the french royal family, but later on, important artists and architects cooperated with this factory and the production could be increased to satisfy the demand of the noble and new bourgeois families.  In the past few years Savonnerie rugs are again very much appreciated, and they are successfully used in classic and contemporary home.
