WOOL DOUBLE-FACE RUGS
ADVICE FOR CARE AND MAINTENANCE
- regularly clean the carpet to avoid an excessive accumulation of dirt
- use a traditional vacuum cleaner - medium power - with plain nozzle, without rotating brushes. Do not use the carpet-beater. Do not act too vigorously on the edges to prevent the fiber from damage
- avoid direct and continuous sunlight. A slight change of tone may still occur even in non-direct light conditions
- do not pull the fibers that may come loose from the carpet, simply cut off them with scissors
- periodically rotate and turn the rug in order to make uniform wear and exposure to light
- not leave residual humidity between the fibers which might in time facilitate the formation of mold
- the carpet needs a relaxation period during which it lose any tensions due to rolling and packaging
- in the first period of use many rugs made with soft and pleasant to touch fibers could release some fluff residues as a result of use. The phenomenon is completely normal and does not affect the quality of the carpet. It tends to run out in a few months when initiating the process of felting. Regular aspiration activities keeps clean the carpet until the phenomenon stops
EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
- wash the rug at specialized laundries using water and neutral detergent, let it dry horizontally on a plane surface.
- do not use washing machines and industrial centrifuges
- by washing it may cause a shrinkage of 3/5%
STAIN TREATMENT
- for each type of stain you may dab immediately with a clean and absorbent cloth in order to prevent the substance from corroding fiber
- then you can clean the stained part with a cloth dampened in water. If necessary, use a stain remover powder or a dry shampoo without solvents. Let the product to act and then aspire to remove what remained of the product used
- proceed carefully without rubbing vigorously to avoid damaging the fiber
